Christopher Kolba, CFP^®, PhD in Economics

Christopher brings a distinguished 30-year investment management and financial planning career to Flynn Financial Partners, joining as a Partner in Private Wealth & Planning and Senior Portfolio Manager in June 2024. His expertise is crafting investment strategies meticulously tailored to client goals, investment objectives, and cash flow analysis. He provides our clients access to G&I Equity Strategy, which he has managed successfully for nearly 10 years.

At the heart of Christopher’s approach is the utilization of an Investment Policy Statement (IPS), which integrates with a comprehensive financial planning process. In portfolio management, he executes a disciplined “macro to micro” investment strategy, emphasizing responsible risk management, long-term stock holdings, and below-industry average turnover.

Before joining Flynn Financial, Christopher gained valuable experience at AXA Equitable, JP Morgan Chase, Ameritas Investment Corporation, and LPL Financial. His international perspective was honed through facilitating trading negotiations and acting as a liaison between Western European companies and Central and Eastern European markets, a testament to his adaptability and understanding of global markets.

Christopher’s academic journey is equally impressive. He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and a PhD in Economics from the State University of Management in Moscow, Russia. His commitment to professional excellence is evident through his certification as a Financial Planner in 2008.

Christopher’s ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients is further enhanced by his fluency in both Polish and Russian. He resides in Forest Hills, NY, with his wife and daughter.
